Gaby Alter

Gaby Alter wrote music and lyrics for Nobody Loves You with book writer/co-lyricist Itamar Moses, which premiered Off-Broadway at Second Stage Theater. Other musicals include Band Geeks, produced by Goodspeed Musicals and licensed through Music Theatre International; contributions to the review Stars of David (DR2 Theater, Daryl Roth Productions); and 29 (with Tommy Newman). Gaby is a recipient of a Jonathan Larson grant, both the San Francisco and San Diego Theater Critics’ Circle Awards, and an ASCAP Plus Award. He wrote the song “The Frigate That Flies” with Itamar for the Disney feature film Tinkerbell and the Pirate Fairy, songs for PBS TV, and soundtracks for film, radio and video games. He is a member of ASCAP and an alum of Tisch’s Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program.
