Survival Skills & Resources for the Pandemic & Beyond with The Actors Fund

Learning to navigate a life in the arts is a challenging endeavor always, but especially during these times. Join the American Theatre Wing for this very special masterclass with our friends from The Actors Fund who will share the importance and “how-to’s” of planning for your artistic future utilizing the resources available to all who work in the entertainment industry. Attendees will hear from experts on financial wellness and the importance of having a plan in place, especially when in crisis. Our panelists will share career center resources including implementing transferable skills and how to sustain oneself during hard times through creating a plan and job opportunities. This master class will also provide information on health insurance, the importance of mental health, along with an introduction to the Entertainment Assistance Program. The panel will touch on the affordable housing initiatives, legal and health services, and information on emergency financial assistance for basic living expenses such as rent or medical expenses.

With so many in our industry without work and uncertain of what lies ahead, the American Theatre Wing is proud to partner with The Actors Fund to share these programs available to you as a member of the entertainment industry, serving all professionals and not just actors—in film, theater, television, music, opera, radio and dance. We hope you can join us to explore and learn more about these universal resources available to you.
