Michael P. Price

Michael Price is now in his 44th year as Executive Director of Goodspeed Musicals. Mr. Price is the founder of the League of Historic American Theatres and served as its first president. He is founding member of the National Alliance for Musical Theatre, Treasurer of the American Theatre Wing and is a member of the Tony Awards Management Committee. Of the 16 Goodspeed productions sent to Broadway, 15 were first produced at Goodspeed by Michael. Michael serves on the Board of the Johnny Mercer Foundation. He serves on boards of the Foundation for Jewish Culture and the Union for Reformed Judaism. Michael is a recipient of the State of Connecticut Arts Award for service to the arts, and serves as the chairman of the Connecticut Culture and Tourism Committee as well as a member of the Connecticut Arts Advisory Council. He is the recipient of honorary doctorates in fine arts, honoris causa, from Connecticut College and the University of Hartford. Michael is married to Jo-Ann Nevas Price, has two children and is the proud grandfather of Ezra William Price.
