2022 Antoinette Gala
Gala Soundscape
Tony-nominated sound designer Palmer Hefferan has created an exclusive soundscape for The Antoinette Gala! Palmer’s work curates a unique experience for our audience, inspired by the visuals in the room at Cipriani. Take a listen now and immerse yourself in your surroundings, or reflect on your time at The Antoinette Gala by listening at home. Palmer’s work exemplifies the singular and ephemeral art of sound design and its power to affect an audience through both overt and subtle methods.
Recommended Plays
Led by Leigh Silverman, a committee was formed to uplift and amplify theatrical works created by women. Ten artists were asked to participate, along with an emerging artist they invited to join. All committee members selected a play or musical written by a woman that is personally or professionally meaningful. Guests at this evening’s gala will receive a pair of scripts pulled directly from this compilation. It is our hope that this list helps to encourage more productions of works written by women, especially those that might be less well known.
