Springboard NYC

At Springboard you get to connect to so many things—working on audition material, speaking with artists, directors, and performers about their experience, being able to see shows, having access to rehearsals at the Tony Awards. The Andrew Lloyd Webber Intiative

The scholarship opened the door for me to create art that gives the marginalized a platform to tell stories that would otherwise be overlooked. Jonathan Larson Grants

Our Gala

The American Theatre Wing’s annual Gala gives the theatre community a reason to gather together and celebrate the importance of theatre in our world while also raising crucial funds for programs including the Andrew Lloyd Webber Initiative, Jonathan Larson Grants, Springboard to Design, and The Network. All of the Wing’s programs underscore our commitment to a next generation of theatre artists, creatives, and arts administrators who reflect the country and world we are living in.

This special night gathers top talent and leaders of arts, entertainment, and other industries to come together to celebrate the power of theatre. Held each fall, the Wing’s gala serves as the unofficial “kick-off” to the new theatre season and honors industry legends for their invaluable contributions. This evening’s entertainment includes exclusive, once-in-a-lifetime performances by some of the biggest stars of the American Stage.

The 2023 Gala was held on Monday, September 11th.
