Despite being apart, the School of Drama at Carnegie Mellon University community came together and did what theatre folks do best: use creativity and determination to make it work.
During the pandemic, the students and faculty built systems so their theatre education could continue—and even thrive. They pivoted their premiere Light Lab to both remote and in-person access and quickly moved their annual cabaret to YouTube. Their commitment to the work is proof that elements of theatre education can successfully adapt in the future.
