Larson Grant recipient to play show at 54 Below

54 BELOW will present Joel B. New’s “Something New” LIVE! on Monday, August 25^th at 11:30pm. “Something New” is the theatre podcast that dissects what it means to be a working, multifaceted artist in America. New is a 2008 Jonathan Larson Grant recipient along with Gaby Alter, Susan DiLallo, Jordan Mann, Jeff Thomson, and Jason Rhyne.

Recently named one of the Top 20 Podcasts for Theatre Fans by BroadwayWorld.com, “Something New” is a platform for Mr. New to interview the savviest singers he knows. Each guest brings multiple talents to the theatre industry — from photography to coaching dialects to massage therapy — and their careers as performers have only been enriched by them. This biweekly podcast dissects what it means to be a working, multifaceted artist in America and always concludes with a premiere recording from one of Joel B. New’s latest musical projects.

Currently scheduled to appear are Avital Asuleen, Tiffan Borelli, Jamie Buxton, Bill Coyne, Justin Daniel, Matthew-Lee Erlbach, Drew Gasparini, David Hudson, Amy Jo Jackson, Nikka Graff Lanzarone, Jenny Neale, Dan Radzikowski, Kate Steinberg, Hansel Tan, and Mariand Torres.
