About American Theatre Wing

Kevin McCollum (DSC #138)

Kevin McCollumKevin McCollum

Producer of In The Heights and Avenue Q.

Kevin McCollum talks about how his “contrarian” nature applies to his work as a producer, including mounting the 22-actor musical In The Heights Off-Broadway when many say even small musicals can’t succeed off the Great White Way, deciding to send Avenue Q to Las Vegas rather than on a standard national tour, and creating a multi-city model for Irving Berlin’s White Christmas.

Original airdate – February 16, 2007.
Running time – 58:31.

For more information, to listen online, or to download the episode go to Downstage Center’s Kevin McCollum program page.

You can also download directly the Kevin McCollum program (mp3).
