RONALD S. KONECKY is a native New Yorker who attended the University of Arizona, where he obtained a B.A. in Political Science and History, and thereafter Harvard Law School where he earned his L.L.B. He worked for MCA Artists Ltd. as an attorney in their New York office for five years, at a time when MCA Artists was the largest and most prominent talent agency in the United States and Europe. While at MCA, Mr. Konecky worked in all fields of the entertainment business with emphasis on feature films, television, publishing and theatre. In 1962, along with a law school classmate and colleague at MCA, he founded his own law firm, which grew to approximately 250 attorneys and 300 non-legal personnel, with offices in New York; Beverly Hills, California; Newport Beach, California and London, and became known as one of the premier international firms in entertainment and sports. They also conducted a significant general practice in corporate representation, litigation, real estate, taxation and trusts and estates. In 1985 Mr. Konecky became a sole practitioner, continuing his practice in the fields noted above, and since that time has been associated as Counsel to Frankfurt, Kurnit, Klein & Selz.
