RICHARD THOMAS will be seen on Broadway this fall in Richard Greenberg's A Naked Girl on the Appian Way, following his appearances last season in Michael Frayn's Democracy and As You Like It in Central Park. His prior NY stage appearances include Edward Albee's Tiny Alice and Steve Tesich's Square One (Second Stage), Terrence McNally's The Stendhal Syndrome (Primary Stages), Lincoln Center Theater's The Front Page, Lanford Wilson's Fifth of July and his Broadway debut, Sunrise at Campobello (at age seven). He has played a variety of classical roles , including Hamlet, Richard III and Peer Gynt for Mark Lamos (Hartford Stage), Richard II (The Shakespeare Theatre), Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Angelo in Measure for Measure for Sir Peter Hall (The Ahmanson), The Count of Monte Cristo for Peter Sellars (Kennedy Center) and Danton's Death for Robert Wilson (The Alley). He also appeared in Art in London's West End. Richard received an Emmy Award for his role as John Boy on the TV series The Waltons; starred in countless films for television, including Terrence McNally's Andre's Mother; hosted PAX-TV's It's a Miracle; and appeared in a range of theatrical films. He served on the board of directors of the Center Theatre Group in Los Angeles and has served as national chairman of the Better Hearing Institute.
