Richard Dreyfuss
RICHARD DREYFUSS starred in the films American Graffiti, The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz, Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Goodbye Girl (Academy Award, Best Actor), Down and Out in Beverly Hills, What About Bob?, Mr. Holland's Opus (Academy Award nom., Best Actor), among others. Stage credits: Death and the Maiden (Broadway), Prisoner of Second Avenue (London), Trumbo, The Hands of Its Enemy, The Normal Heart and Three Hotels, among others. He made his stage directing debut with Hamlet for England's Birmingham Theatre Co. TV includes Lansky (HBO), The Day Reagan Was Shot (Showtime), Our Love Is Here to Stay (director, Showtime), Bewitched and Gunsmoke, but that's another story. He is on the board of L.A. Theatre Works, which has recorded over 320 audio theatre productions, and is co-founder of L.A. Works, a public action and volunteer center. Mr. Dreyfuss sits on the Board of the National Constitution Center. He published For the Record, a newsletter of Israeli Political Opinions; co-sponsored with Columbia University a seminar regarding Mideast media; and speaks across the country about the death of civics.
