QUIARA ALEGRÍA HUDES was born and raised in West Philadelphia and now lives in New York. Her plays?including Yemaya's Belly (Portland Stage Company), Elliot, A Soldier's Fugue (Page 73 Productions), and The Adventures Of Barrio Grrrl! (Miracle Theatre)?have been produced at theaters nationwide and will soon be published by Dramatists Play Service. Her musical In The Heights opens on Broadway in March 2008, following a 2007 off-Broadway run, with a book by Hudes and music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
