PETER GALLAGHER Broadway: Hair (revival), Grease! (original production), A Doll's Life directed by Hal Prince (Theater World Award), The Corn Is Green, Tom Stoppard's The Real Thing (original production) directed by Mike Nichols (Clarence Derwent Award), Long Day's Journey Into Night with Jack Lemmon (Tony Award nom.), Sky Masterson in the 1992 revival of Guys And Dolls, Royal National Theatre production of Noises Off. The Exonerated, winner of the 2003 Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding Off-Broadway Play and the 2003 Lucille Lortel Award and Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience directed by Bob Balaban. Regional and other theatre productions include the American premiere of Another Country (Long Wharf Theater), Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? with Uta Hagen (Ahmanson Theater, benefit performance) and Pal Joey with Patti LuPone (City Center Encore! Series). Films include Steven Soderbergh's sex, lies and videotape and The Underneath; Robert Altman's The Player and Short Cuts; The Idolmaker; Dreamchild; Watch It; The Hudsucker Proxy; While You Were Sleeping; The Man Who Knew Too Little; To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday; Cafe Society; Center Stage; American Beauty; Perfume; Protection; Mr. Deeds with Adam Sandler; and How To Deal with Mandy Moore and Allison Janney. Television credits include The O.C. on FOX, Leo Frank in The Murder of Mary Phagan, The Caine Mutiny Court Martial directed by Robert Altman, Aldous Huxley's Brave New World, Clifford Odets' The Big Knife (PBS), Path to Paradise (HBO), Peter Sellars' The Cabinet of Dr. Ramirez (PBS), Showtime's production of Anne Rice's The Feast of All Saints, An Inconvenient Woman, Cupid and Cate, and the series The Secret Lives of Men. For PBS, Gallagher starred in Guys and Doll's Off The Record which documented the recording of the cast album, Private Contentment by Reynolds Price and Peter Seller's silent film The Cabinet of Dr. Ramirez.
