Mike Pettry
MIKE PETTRY is a New York based composer/lyricist and musician. Musicals written include The Time Travelers Convention, Long Distance, World of Heroes, The Wonderful World of Zidney (featured highlight at Kennedy Center Page to Stage Festival), and Flipside (2007 Frederick Loewe Award winner). Mike toured the country with Dirty Rotten Scoundrels as assistant conductor. NY performances include The Black Suits at the Public Theater (SPF), Green Eyes (Fringe), and Things To Ruin: The Songs of Joe Iconis at Joe?s Pub and Ars Nova (NYMF). Mike's songs have been performed in readings and cabarets all over the country, including The Voices In My Head at Ars Nova in 2007. His songs with Lin McEwan are available on iTunes (Now I Know EP), and his forthcoming solo album, The Voices In My Head, will be available in October 2008. BA in piano and composition from Shepherd, MFA in musical theatre writing from NYU/Tisch.
