MARK HAMILL returns to Broadway in Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks in the role he first played at the Coconut Grove Playhouse. He began his career in a workshop production of Anthems in E-Flat Calliope (book, music, lyrics by Michael Franks). Broadway: The Elephant Man (title role opposite Carole Shelley), Amadeus (title role opposite John Wood; director, Sir Peter Hall; Broadway, first national tour), Harrigan 'n Hart (as Tony Hart, Drama Desk nomination, Outstanding Actor in a Musical; directors: Broadway, Joe Layton; Goodspeed, Edward Stone), The Nerd (director Charles Nelson Reilly). Off-Broadway: Roundabout's Room Service (as Gordon Miller; director, Alan Arkin). He has written for The Simpsons Comics and created The Black Pearl (Dark Horse Comics' graphic novel and series, co-written with Eric Johnson). He is executive producer, co-producer and voice actor on AMC's animated series The Wrong Coast. His film directing debut, the fictional documentary Comic Book: The Movie, features his latest creations, that daring pair extraordinaire, Commander Courage and Liberty Lad, and will be released by Miramax. He has earned international acclaim for his tireless efforts to thwart the Dark Side.
