MARILU HENNER joins the cast of The Tale of the Allergist's Wife, her sixth Broadway show, having recently completed the first national touring production of Annie Get Your Gun in the title role, for which she won the Joseph Jefferson Award. She returned to Broadway four years ago with her critically acclaimed Broadway run playing Roxie Hart in Chicago. Henner's previous Broadway performances were in the Mike Nichols-directed Social Security, as well as Pal Joey, Over Here! and Grease! She has starred in 13 feature films including L.A. Story with Steve Martin (American Comedy Award nomination), Noises Off with Michael Caine, Johnny Dangerously with Michael Keaton and Man on the Moon with Jim Carrey. In addition to starring in two top-rated TV series - Taxi (five Golden Globe nominations) where she first worked with Rhea Perlman and her husband Danny DeVito, and Evening Shade with Burt Reynolds - and 12 acclaimed TV movies, she also hosted a highly regarded talk show, Marilu, and authored the best-selling autobiography By All Means, Keep on Moving. In the past four years, she reached the top of the best-seller lists (including in The New York Times) with her second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth books: Marilu Henner's Total Health Makeover, The 30 Day Total Health Makeover, I Refuse to Raise a Brat, Healthy Life Kitchen and Healthy Kids. Her seventh book, Healthy Holidays, from Harper Collins, Regan Books, is due out this fall. Marilu also leads online classes in health on her website www.marilu.com. Her greatest achievement, however, is being mother to her two boys, Nicky, eight, and Joey, six-and-a-half.
