LORETTA SWIT has appeared on Broadway in Same Time, Next Year and The Mystery of Edwin Drood and across the country in Any Wednesday, The Odd Couple, Mame, Shirley Valentine (Chicago's Sarah Siddons Award) and Love Letters. Film credits include Stand Up and Be Counted, Freebie and the Bean, S.O.B., Race with the Devil, Forest Warrior and Boardheads. Well-known as Major Margaret Houlihan on M*A*S*H, her TV film credits include the original Cagney and Lacey (creating the role of Cagney), Games Mother Never Taught You, Hell Hath No Fury, The Execution and A Killer Among Friends. Her Discovery Channel series, Those Incredible Animals, ran for five years and can now be seen on Animal Planet. Ms. Swit has received a People's Choice, a Silver Satellite, the Jean Golden Galo Award and two Emmys. Both the Animal Protection Institute and the International Fund for Animal Welfare have named her Woman of the Year for her ceaseless work in the humane environment. She is a spokesperson for Airline Ambassadors, hand-delivering aid to people around the world.
