JULIA C. LEVY is Executive Director, at the Roundabout Theatre Company. She joined Roundabout in 1990 as Director of Development with direct responsibility for managing their annual fundraising campaign. Since she joined the theatre, the fundraising campaign increased from $550,000 in FY1990 to $8.1 million in FY2004. Under Julia’s direction, Roundabout successfully launched and completed two capital campaigns: a $2.6 million, 14-month capital campaign to fund the renovation and first year of operation of their off-Broadway theatre the Laura Pels Theatre which opened in 1995 and most recently a $25 million, 3-year campaign to restore and build the 750 seat Selywn Theatre on 42nd Street. Julia also supervises Roundabouts arts-in-education activities. She was the impetus behind the company’s expanded programming, launched during the 1993-94 season and culminating today with the creation of three New Century Schools in partnership with the NYC Department of Education and New Visions, a non-profit agency. Prior to joining Roundabout, she served as Assistant Director of the Consolidated Corporate Fund Drive at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and as Assistant Director of Corporate Development for the Boston Symphony. She served as a Board member of the non-profit Signature Theatre from 1994-2001. She has served as a public member of Community Board 5 and as a member of the Washington Irving High School Arts Advisory Board. She has lectured at New York University, Columbia University and at various industry conferences. She holds a BS degree in Business Administration (specialization in Marketing) from the University of Vermont.
