JOHN TARTAGLIA created the roles of Princeton and Rod in Avenue Q on Broadway for which he was honored with a Tony Nomination, The Clarence Derwent Award, The Theatreworld Award and shared a special Outer Critics Circle Award with the original cast. He is currently starring in Johnny and the Sprites, a new live action musical show on Disney Channel that he is also created and executive produced with an emmy award winning team. Featuring original music by Stephen Schwartz, Gary Adler and Michael Patrick Walker and the writing team of Goldrich and Heisler, it is set to go to a half hour series next year. John is also honored to have been chosen as the new host of the New York Philharmonic's concert series for Young People for the 2005/2006 season. His greatest honor-singing at Carnegie Hall with the late Skitch Henderson and the New York Pops. He was a puppeteer on Sesame Street for 11 years and has done voiceover worrk for several other series including Jo Jo's Circus, Big Ben, Bear and the Big Blue House and Sesame Street. He's also made several appearances on VH1's Best Of... shows, and MTV.
