Joey McKneely
JOEY McKNEELY received a 2004 Outer Critics Circle nomination for his choreography for The Boy From Oz. He made his Broadway debut as choreographer of Smokey Joe's Cafe, directed by Jerry Zaks (Tony Award nominee, NAACP Image Award and an L.A. Ovation Award), and also choreographed Cy Coleman's The Life, directed by Michael Blakemore (Tony Award nominee and Outer Critics Circle nominee), and George C. Wolfe/Michael John LaChiusa's Wild Party. He directed a new production of West Side Story at La Scala Opera House as well as productions in Germany and Japan, the national tour of Annie Get Your Gun and the recent Showtune Off-Broadway. Other theatre works include Lincoln Center's Twelfth Night, director Nicholas Hytner; Andrew Lloyd Webber's Whistle Down the Wind, director Hal Prince; MTC's The Green Heart; City Center's Pal Joey; Lucky Guy; A Wonderful Life; Time of Your Life; Juno; The Rink; and the tour of Jolson: The Musical. He choreographed the feature films IQ and Zoolander.
