She was also nominated for the Oscar for her performances in Frances, Country, Sweet Dreams and Music Box. She made her film debut in the remake of King Kong, followed by performances in Bob Fosse’s All That Jazz, going on to receive critical acclaim in Bob Rafelson’s remake of The Postman Always Rings Twice. Her other notable film credits include starring roles in Crimes of the Heart, Far North, Everybody’s All-American, Men Don’t Leave, Cape Fear, Rob Roy, A Thousand Acres, Cousin Bette, Titus, Masked and Anonymous and Big Fish.
