JAY HUNTER MORRIS created the role of Tony in Master Class, for which he received nominations from the Outer Critics Circle for Outstanding Debut and the L.A. Ovation Award for Best Featured Actor. Mr. Morris has appeared with the Santa Fe, Augusta, Dallas, Utah, Metropolitan and Canadian Opera companies. Here in New York, he has sung at Avery Fisher and Alice Tully Hall, and was recently a featured artist in the PBS broadcast of the Richard Tucker Gala. Overseas, Jay has performed in London, Stockholm, Helsinki and Leningrad. Trained at the Juilliard Opera Center, he has received awards from the Santa Fe Opera, Metropolitan National Council, the Pavarotti Competition and the Puccini Foundation.
