DAVID DIAMOND is a theatre consultant and career coach for theatre artists. David assists theatre artists with goal setting, strategizing and actively pursuing their chosen career. Clients include directors, actors, designers, playwrights and producers. Previously, David served as Executive Director of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation for approximately ten years. In that capacity he initiated and expanded programs for directors and choreographers around the country. He was the publisher of The Journal for Stage Directors and Choreographers, the annual publication of the SDCFoundation, and co-edited the Stage Directors' Handbook. He also produced the annual "Mr. Abbott" Awards, which honors the lifetime achievement of a director or choreographer.
Other positions held include General Manager of United States Institute for Theatre Technology, Managing Director of The Barrow Group Theatre Company and Management Services Assistant at Theatre Communications Group. He also presents the workshop "Directing Your Directing Career" to Universities around the country.
