DAN MONTANO's first brush with the American theater was when he was tapped to play an elf in the Christmas play in first grade. Though the reviews were mixed, he continued to pursue acting through the years with varied success, and worked and lived in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. Favorite projects included playing the best man in the original Chicago cast of Tony and Tina's Wedding, a co-starring role in Sony Pictures Classics Whatever, and a national commercial campaign for Bud Lite, that made its debut during the 1997 Superbowl. At some point, Dan found himself back in New Jersey, where he grew up, and after commuting into New York City for acting work for a couple years, he realized that he was only acting until the right bartending job came along. He took a gig at the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park, where he met his wife, and re-connected with the world of performance through stage-hand work. In the fall of 2005, he took a ten-day job as a carpenter at Two River Theater Company in Red Bank, and has been at the theater ever since, working his way into his present position as Electrics and Sound Supervisor.
