Cleavon Little
CLEAVON LITTLE was born on June 1,1939 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Little won the Tony award for the musical, Purlie. Cleavon Little's success started with the 1972 sitcom Temperature's Rising. In 1974 he won the role of Sheriff Bart in Blazing Saddles. Cleavon's other notable credits include Greaded Lightning, Toy Soldiers, Fletch Lives, Murder By Numbers, and Goin' To Chicago. Little passed away on October 22, 1992 in Sherman Oaks, California from colon cancer.
