Christian Slater
CHRISTIAN SLATER is currently appearing on Broadway in The Glass Menagerie. He returns to Broadway directly from starring in London in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, for which he won the Theatregoers Choice Award for Best Actor. He returns to London this fall to star in Tennessee Williams’ Sweet Bird of Youth. His previous Broadway credits include the Tony Award-winning Side Man, David Copperfield, Merlin, Macbeth and The Music Man opposite Dick Van Dyke. Off-Broadway he was in Landscape of the Body, Between Daylight and Booneville, Dry Land and Somewhere’s Better. Some of his notable films include Gleaming the Cube, Heathers opposite Winona Ryder, Young Guns II, Pump Up the Volume, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Untamed Heart, True Romance, Interview with a Vampire, Murder in the First, Broken Arrow, Very Bad Things, The Contender, Windtalkers, Churchill: The Hollywood Years, The Name of the Rose opposite Sean Connery, Coppola’s Tucker: The Man and His Dream opposite Jeff Bridges and The Legend of Billy Jean. In 1996 he made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed Showtime short film, “ Museum of Love,” which he co-wrote. With producing partner Mary Jo Slater, he formed Clean Slate Productions to develop television and film projects. His greatest achievements are Jaden Christopher, age five, and Eliana Sophia, age three.
