Blake West
BLAKE WEST is Director of Planning and Projects at Manhattan Theatre Club, where he oversees event-based fundraising, which includes the company?s annual Winter Benefit, Spring Gala and Silent Auction, and all donor cultivation events. Prior to MTC, he was an Account Executive at the Karpel Group, a marketing firm, where he worked on the marketing campaigns for several Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, including: Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Donkey Show, De La Guarda, and James Joyce?s The Dead, and for television and film projects, including Showtime's Queer as Folk. He started his career as a public relations writer. He is an active member of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Services Center, where he has served on the Steering Committee for their annual Garden Party and currently works on their annual Women's Event. Since 2002, he has been part of the team that teaches the Principles of Development course at the Yale University School of Drama.
