ARTHUR WHITELAW's first producing venture in New York was the revival Best Foot Forward with Liza Minnelli and Christopher Walken. His many productions include: Cabin in the Sky, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Butterflies Are Free, Minnie's Boys, 70-Girls-70, Strider, The Taffetas (also directed), Snoopy (also directed) and Sweet Sue. Mr. Whitelaw was vice president of Apjac International at Twentieth Century Fox, which produced the screen versions of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. He also produced the film version of Butterflies Are Free. As head of drama for HBO he originated a series that included television versions of Camelot, Barefoot in the Park, Plaza Suite, Sherlock Holmes, Vanities, The Rainmaker and Wait Until Dark. His productions have been nominated or won every industry award including the Oscar, Tony, Emmy, Obie, Drama Desk, and Olivier. Mr. Whitelaw has produced 10 plays in London's West End including Hildegarde, Charlie Brown, Butterflies Are Free and Snoopy, which he also directed in revival this summer. He has been on the Tony Administration Committee for 25 years and is a trustee of his alma mater, The American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Mr. Whitelaw's latest project is a new 500-seat theatre in the new performing arts complex in Miami.
