Jane Englebardt is principal and founder of Upshot Advisors, LLC, a consulting firm that advises philanthropic and corporate leaders committed to making positive and lasting change in the world. Prior to Upshot Advisors, Ms. Englebardt was President & CEO of a century-old multi-site nationally prominent nonprofit organization, and Executive Director of a leading corporate foundation with national grant making scope in the field of arts, education and health. Ms. Englebardt began her career in the visual arts at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art and as curator of several private art collections. She then joined the field of performing arts as Deputy Director of the Big Apple Circus. Today, her client list includes, among others, leaders in theater, orchestra, film, TV and digital technologies. Ms. Englebardt is a faculty member in the Design for Social Innovation MFA program at the School of Visual Arts, and has been a guest lecturer at Columbia and NYU business schools. Ms. Englebardt earned her MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business and professional post-graduate certificates from NYU, Harvard, and Columbia University.
